What is agar?

Agar is a gelatinous substance made from algae, it is enriched with different nutrients and then it is sterilized so it can be inoculated with mycelium; it has everything the mycelium will need for its development. The agar you find here at Setas Mushrooms is fully colonized and you can use it to produce grain spawn.
